Pianta began in 2020 in our kitchen in Brooklyn, NY. We wanted to create nutritious, beautiful and vibrant food. Food for healing.
Our plant based cheese is minimally processed, and unpasteurized. Made with fermented & activated cashews. It is packed with enzymes, vitamins, adaptogenic herbs and live cultures. Ethereal and exquisite. We believe in the integrity of our ingredients and mindful eating.

NOTE: A minimum order of 2 cheeses in order to get delivery is required. Place your order by Thursday every week and receive your cheese every Sunday. Place your Pianta cheese in the fridge as soon as it is received. The product comes frozen - please allow up to 5-10hrs to defrost before enjoying!

Place your order here. Allow 72 hours for us to prep your fresh cheese. You will receive Pianta frozen for safety. Once you receive the cheese please refrigerate and enjoy!
About The Pianta Founders
Pianta is founded by husband and wife. Italian plant-based chef and photographer Joanas Riccardi and yoga teachers and wellness guide Francesca Valarezo right in the kitchen of their New York City apartment.
After finding solace from his symptoms of Gilbert’s Disease through switching to a plant-based diet early in childhood, Joanas decided to study Culinary Nutrition at Plant Lab under Matthew Kenney’s direction and mentorship, cementing himself as one of the go-to raw vegan chefs in the city. Joanas is also the Culinary Director at Civana Wellness Resort. He has developed plant-based menus for café such as Matchaful and the brand’s first CPG product, a grain free and gluten free Matcha Granola, sold at Whole Foods Markets and Erewhon Markets nationwide.
Simultaneously, Francesca combated her digestive issues and severe depression by turning to yoga and a plant-based diet as an integral part of her holistic lifestyle. Francesca Valarezo is a yoga teacher, mentor, breathwork practitioner and master Reiki guide based in New York City.
They are passionate about food and cats and the environment.
